Hello and Welcome to Tallinn!
We start soon with the new season and with the CURLING CHAMPIONS TOUR (CCT) tournaments. Last season Curling Tallinn hosted 2 CCT events, this season already 4. It’s now time to take a look at these events.
3rd CCT Tallinn Season Starter, 1.-3. September (men)
The first event will take place already at the beginning of September when we host men’s CCT event. We started with the TSS in 2015, and we have never had so many teams (10) and countries represented (7).
2nd CCT Tallinn Mixed Doubles International, 21.-24. September
The tournament was founded 2016 and we will have a fantastic line up this year: 18 teams from 7 different countries. We will have reigning world champions present from Switzerland (Perret/Rios) and also team Kauste/Rantamäki who will represent Finland at the Olympic games. So it is possible to test your game against the best in the world.
2nd CCT Tallinn Ladies International, 3.-5. November
Another tournament founded last season (though we weren’t part of CCT last year) and our participant’s number has grown from 8 to 15 teams from 11 different countries.
2nd CCT Tallinn Masters Mixed Doubles, 15.-18. February
Also new tournament from last season – the only difference is time! Instead of April, we will play the CCT event this season in February. We felt lack of interest last season, so we thought the earlier timing could attract more teams. Six months into the event we have already 8 teams from 7 countries on our participant’s list. Welcome back the first winner from last season Team Szekeres/Nagy from Hungary. And welcome Team LetzCurl – first team from Luxemburg to play in our events in Estonia. Check out the team list.
Curling Tallinn in cooperation with CCT has created participating teams high-level opportunities in different disciplines (men/women/mixed doubles). We always need people who help to organize the event: in those events, we will have Chief Umpire, dedicated time clock operators, 2 ice makers and other volunteers.
We have at the moment in 4 CCT events 51 teams from 17 countries. We thank teams who have chosen to come to Estonia and take part in Curling Tallinn events. We have been working hard to get you here, and we will do everything to make you return to Tallinn.
We want to thank our partners: the City of Tallinn and its Sport and Youth Department, Ministry of Culture and Cultural Endowment of Estonia and Sportland
